Password Managers – Let’s talk about Password Managers.

Many think they waste time, actually, they save time.

  1. First, how many times have you set up a password that you were sure you would remember, and then forget. Time wasted resetting your password and frustration too.
  2. Second, how much time have you wasted trying to spell out a new password. Let the manager create a complicated and very secure password for you with lower case and upper case letters, numbers, and special characters.
  3. Third. Oh, those questions they ask to authenticate. Your sister’s husband’s nephew’s child’s best friend’s cat name. You can add that in your notes.
  4. Forth, and the one you may not know. You normally include the CORRECT web address of the website. This way, if you inadvertently type the wrong address, the Password Manager will not input your sensitive log in credentials.
  5. Fifth. If something traumatically happens to you, your loved ones can access your accounts as you see fit.
  6. Sixth, they alert you if your reuse the same password. Or they should.

Password Managers can either reside solely on your computers/phones (which I prefer) or in the cloud where you can access anywhere on any device. Your preference.

There’s more too. Password managers can be addictive. The extent you use all the features is endless.
